Mikayla Christiansen

Comprehensive Instructor

Hi, I’m Mik or Mikayla. I am a Balanced Body Comprehensive pilates instructor with experience in tailoring sessions for diverse clients with different needs and goals. I started in the movement industry as a yoga instructor with extensive training in fascial connections and biomechanics of mobility and have progressed into my interest of the principles pilates encourages — precision, control, whole body integration. I have taken PRI — Postural Respiration Institute trainings  which  led to my interest and ability in working with clients with different physical needs, postural misalignments, and/or conditions (ex. hip dysplasia, spinal stenosis, knee surgery recovery, ect). I love to see the everyday person who just wants a personalized session with the goal of learning more about their body and have fun!  But I also have had the pleasure to work with prenatal mothers into their postnatal journey as well as work with athletes who are off season with an interest in building mobility and finding more precision in movement patterns needed for their sport or are recovering from a sport related injury. Working in private sessions gives me a lot of joy to be able to (1) provide a safe environenment for one to learn and grow in (2) focus and zone in on more specific goals or needs (3) create a routine that is functional for your everday movements.
